Recently, a grand event focused on rural tourism and promoting the development of women - a three-day training course on enhancing the entrepreneurial and employment skills of women in rural tourism, concluded successfully at the Tourist Service Center in Songming Town, Hezheng County, Linxia Prefecture, Gansu Province. This training was not only a crucial part of the tourism education program, but also a practical action taken by Linxia UNESCO Global Geopark in practicing the UNESCO's philosophy of focusing on women's development and enhancing their rights. It has injected vigorous new momentum into the development of rural tourism in Hezheng County.

In the territory of Linxia UNESCO Global Geopark, women play an indispensable and vital role.  Rooted deeply in this land, they possess a profound understanding and unique affection to the local culture and customs. This training program attracted over120 local women, including 5 docents from the Hualin On-site Burial Paleozoological Museum, who participated with enthusiasm and anticipations for the development of rural tourism. They were eager to enhance their own abilities through learning and contribute to the tourism industry of their hometown.

In the future, these women who participated in the training will become the backbone of the rural tourism development in Hezheng County. With the knowledge and skills they have acquired, they will play a significant role in areas such as tourism reception, tour guiding and cultural dissemination, providing tourists with a more diverse and unique travel experience.
