On June 20th, the 2025 Gansu Provincial Training Course on Paleontological Fossil Protection and Management kicked off in Hezheng County. The training course focused on the protection and management of paleontological fossils, aiming to enhance the professional qualities and operational capabilities of relevant staff, and is of great significance for promoting the protection work of paleontological fossils in Gansu  Province.

       In the morning, the training course invited senior experts in the field to give lectures. The experts gave in-depth explanations on contents such as the "Regulations on the Protection of Paleontological Fossils", the latest protection technologies and methods, and the unique characteristics of paleontological fossil resources in the Hezheng Area. Through detailed case analyses and professional knowledge elaborations, they presented a feast of knowledge to the trainees, helped them further enhance their understanding of the importance of paleontological fossil protection and familiarize themselves with the key points and procedures of protection and management work.

   In the afternoon, all trainees visited Hezheng Paleozoological Museum and Hezheng Hualin On-site Burial Paleozoological Museum successively. Through on-site observation and explanations from the staff, the trainees gained a more intuitive understanding of the complexity and challenges of fossil protection work, and also deeply realized the important mission of protecting these precious fossil resources.
