Science Popularization in Schools Ignites the Dream of Science - Ganguang Primary School of Linxia City Held Series of Science Popularization and Practice Activities
Recently, the team of Professor Li Tao from the School of Chemical Engineering of Lanzhou City University visited Gangguang Primary School, a branch of the Hongyuan Road Education Group in Linxia City, and held a unique science popularization practice activity under the theme of "Colorful Chemicals Enriching Five Aspects of Education, Chasing Light and Exploring Knowledge through Science Popularization", which brought a science feast of fun and knowledge to the teachers and students.
At the beginning of the activity, Professor Li Tao gave a science popularization lecture on the topic of “Turning Garbage into Gold - Campus Fertilizer Workshop”, which vividly explained to the students how to turn household waste into useful resources. It not only broadened their knowledge, but also cultivated their awareness of environmental protection.
Subsequently, the team members brought a variety of scientific practice activities. In the sachet-making session, various medicinal materials such as Agastache, Mugwort Leaves and Honeysuckle were neatly arranged. The students made sachets with different effects using various formulas, and the scene was filled with laughter and joy. In the scientific experiment session, fun experiments such as "Red Cabbage", "Iodophor Magic" and "Lava Lamp" captured the children's attention. During the activities, all students actively participated in hands-on operations, experiencing the mysteries of science in practice. Many students also took the initiative to speak up, shared the wonderful scientific phenomena they observed, and a strong learning atmosphere permeated the entire campus.
Through science popularization lectures and interactive experiments, this event not only ignited students' enthusiasm for scientific exploration in diverse forms but also sparked a campus trend of "loving science, learning science, and applying science," thereby providing strong impetus for creating a vibrant scientific atmosphere.
