In order to enhance public cultural literacy and strengthen adolescents' awareness of cultural heritage protection, on the occasion of the International Museum Day on May 18th, Linxia UNESCO Global Geopark Museum collaborated with Linxia City Museum to carefully plan a Children's Fantasy Cultural Journey theme activity. The event attracted 40 adolescents and children to participate and embark on an interesting and creative cultural exploration journey.

At the beginning of the activity, the children strolled through the museum exhibition halls under the guidance of the docents. From ancient fossils to modern treasures, they listened to the stories behind the cultural relics and felt the profoundness of history and the charm of culture. The vivid explanations stimulated the children's curiosity and allowed them to gain knowledge through exploration.

Subsequently, the children participated in a variety of practical activities. In the Pottery Painting activity, they used brushes to color the pottery models and drew unique patterns with their imagination. In the Facial Mask Making session, they skillfully combined elements to create exquisite works such as the Hua Dan role in Peking Opera and the Monkey King (Sun Wukong). Moreover, the Handprint Painting Paradise session allowed the children to unleash their creativity, using their palms dipped in paint to create fun and childlike artworks. The event also included a Reading Wondrous Journey session, where the children read historical and science popularization picture-books together, experiencing the joy of knowledge through books.

At the end of the activity, all children who participated in the event received cultural and creative gifts such as bookmarks and pencil cases carefully prepared by the museum, leaving them with unforgettable memories of their visit to the museum.
